For those that are retired, there's an easy way to have free camping, and spend a lot of time outdoors. The National Park Service has a "Campground Host Program" where you get a free parking spot, free electric and water, and not much work for it.
If you own a motor home or travel trailer, and want to stay in the great outdoors all summer for free, this could be the ticket. The job doesn't require trash pickup or anything heavy, just being there to keep an eye on things and collect money for certain camp spots.
And if you have any "rowdy" campers, just call it in to the rangers, they'll handle it.
So if you're in the mood to live free, with your only expense being your food and gasoline for your vehicle, check it out. Best of all, if TSHTF, you're already out of the city mess and usually beside a lake with fish and woods full of deer.
